I would like to make a venison roast in the crock pot. I have some ideas on how to do it but my question is can I add the vegetables when I start the roast in the morning? I want to be able to come home and eat shortly after.

You can add things like carrots, potatoes, turnips, onions and celery, but don’t put in anything delicate or leafy until after you get home.
Yes. Do it just like you would any other roast–veggies on the bottom, meat on top. It’s delicious!
